Summer "Rawson" Matkin is a multimedia juggernaut based in Downriver, MI. She began her media work in 2015, through amateur filmmaking and creating Youtube videos. With a keen eye for visual storytelling, Summer specializes in using film and live media to create engaging, character driven, and thought-provoking pieces. Her expertise lies in the utilization of VHS and glitch special effects, dramatic editing, and uncanny fiction adding a unique and captivating element to her work. Rawson also actively works in live production in the wrestling business. On top of production, she is also a color commentator in the wrestling business, "The Throwback Kid" Summer Rawson takes the desk at a few independent Michigan promotions.
With a background of livestreaming, Youtube, and gaming, she was able to utilize her platform to raise $15,000+ for multiple charities combined. Another notable aspect of Summer's talents is her involvement as the host and Dungeon Master of "Rawson’s Realms," a Dungeons and Dragons event held in Southgate, MI. In addition, Summer's creative prowess extends beyond the realm of media, as she has honed her character building and acting skills through performance theatre (7+ years experience), on screen acting (8+ years experience), and character coaching (3+ years experience). Matkin has showcased her talents through her documentary, “‘23: One Last Time” which captured her senior year in 2023 in a feature length documentary. The work was later shown during the premiere weekend at the same high-school and viewed by students and parents alike.
